Binge drinking increase risk of alcohol use disorder (AUD)

most of us know the youth who loves to go out and binge drink with their friends... and plenty of adults do the same... studies are showing those that have a certain 3 risk factors and binge drink are much more likely to become dependent on alcohol...

the three risk factors: being male, having family member with AUD , and being more prone to being impulsive...

in the study, those that fell into the group with the three risk factors drank more in a shorter amount of time than those who didn't have the risk factors..

of course, the study is more complex than that, but that's my short version.

binge drinking for women - 4 drinks or more in 2 hours...
for men - 5 drinks or more in 2 hours...

here's a link to the study for more information...
