Hi, I’m doing a lot better.

If alcoholism came in severity of cases 1-5, I’d say I was a 3, 1 being an experimenter, 2 being a regular drinker and user who becomes physically addicted, 3 being a drinker and user for 1-2 decades, 4 being a problematic user and drinker throughout the lifetime (which might become liver disease, cancer of the liver, or other forms of cancer), and 5 being a problem that will probably take their lives due to overdose or intentional overdose. I was never admitted into a hospital due to alcoholism or drug addiction, but I was an experimenter in high school, and I was a user/drinker for about 15 years, starting again in my mid-twenties. I was able to stop it with help, and I have every confidence it will be dormant for the rest of my life. I am so glad that I had people along the way to support and encourage me. I am a survivor; I just pray and hope for addicts and alcoholics at every level of severity...
