Tips for Handling Stress and Anxiety at Work

Stress and anxiety can go hand-in-hand. When it comes to the workplace, more stress and anxiety can wreak havoc on your mental and physical well being. Learning how to cope with the anxiety and stress that your job brings is imperative to make sure you're productive at work and that it doesn't become detrimental to your health. Here are a few tips on dealing with stress and anxiety in the workplace. 

Get to Moving
Be sure that you get in exercise on a regular basis. This is a great stress reliever to those who are dealing with large amounts of pressure and anxiety. If you're at work and feel the stress getting to you, try to get up and take a break to walk around the parking lot or office. Move away from the situation if you can to get a breath of fresh air before coming back to the situation.

Have a Support System
Having someone you can share your thoughts and concerns with is important to relieving the stress and pressure at work. Find someone that can be a sounding board for you to just listen to what you're going through. They don't have to always have answers to the problems but just listening to you can be a great relief. 

Rest Well
One of the key factors to be able to handle the daily stress at work is to ensure you get enough rest at night. Not sleeping well can make things worse than they normally would be an cause your anxiety to skyrocket. Be sure you're getting plenty of sleep, eating a well balanced diet and exercising everyday to help combat the workplace anxiety and stress.
